Ponownie - drzwi

No i mam nadzieje, ze podjelismy dobra decyzje...

I wouldn't be myself if I did not bring some photos of the doors from my holidays. They are so pretty, aren't they?...

As for the doors in our house, the decision has finally been taken, the contract is signed and next month it is going to get very busy!! I will show you the "after" photos. And I am hoping we chose the right ones... (won't tell you which we chose now, I need to wait till everything is done, otherwise I will start thinking, changing my mind etc.;)

Ale nie tylko Helsinki...

... byly celem naszej podrozy.

Porvoo to drugie najstarsze miasteczko w Finlandii, calkiem urocze miejsce, ze starym kosciolkiem niedaleko rynku, rzedami kolorowych domkow i sklepikow shabby chic w ktorych majatek mozna przepuscic;))...

Jesli bedziecie kiedys wybierac sie do Helsinek - serdecznie polecam odwiedzic rowniez Porvoo...

ps.

But we wanted to visit not only the city of Helsinki. I must admit, in general I am not a big fan of cities (and my hubby even more so...;) especially in the summer. So, after a day in Helsinki we have decided that it is enough. And went to Porvoo, about one hour away, spent the whole day there.

Porvoo is the second oldest town in Finland. Quite a cute place, with the old church in the near of the town centre, lots of colourful, small houses standing in a row, and shabby chic shops, where you might be really tempted to buy this and that;))... It must have been the most sunny and hottest day when we were there, but we went for a leisurely stroll down the cobbled streets, then along the riverside, had some ice-cream, in a word, a very relaxing day.

If you ever happen to go to Helsinki, I recommend you visit Porvoo, too...

ps. And on the last picture, I wanted to show you what the white, Finnish nights looked like (although the photo was not taken at night, rather a very late evening). The sun sets, but it does not get as dark as it usually does at night, it is like the state of permanent twilight. It was quite impressive for us. Especially at the sea side, where it was just so peaceful, calm and unbelievably quiet...

W Helsinkach bylo:

- goraco,
- slonecznie i jasno,
- troche szaro (budynki),
- ale i troche niebiesko (morze!!)
- truskawkowo-czeresniowo:),
- i spokojnie.

Helsinki was:
- hot,
- sunny and bright,
- a bit grey (buildings)
- but also blue (the sea!!)
- strawberry - cherry - like:),
- and calm.

To be continued.
