Juz niedlugo wrzesien. I jesien.....

Naszedl mnie dzis nostalgiczny nastroj, przed-jesienny oczywiscie.
Pieknie pachnialo (mokry las ma ten swoj bardzo fajny specyficzny zapach), tu i owdzie drzewa pogubily juz liscie... Zaczynaja sie pojawiac jesienne kolory, na razie niesmialo, powoli...

A po spacerze najbardziej lubie napalic w kominku, zrobic sobie dobrej herbaty i posiedziec sobie, zatopic sie slowach i zdaniach nowej ksiazki albo, tak po prostu, we wlasnych myslach...

I am in such a nostalgic, pre-autumn mood today. I think it is all because of this grey, rainy, vague weather, which, in contrary to last beautiful and sunny weekend, does not put me in a good mood. But I need to face the truth;), the summer is really coming to an end and even though in general I like the autumn (they say that you are supposed to like the season which your birthday falls on, which is very true in my case, as I was born in November) I am a little sad to say goodbye to the summer. Maybe because these really hot days were so few this year, or maybe... year after year I am just getting moody?;)
Yesterday, even though it was raining, I went for a walk. Everything smelled beautifully (forest during the rain has this specific, nice smell) and here and there were some fallen leaves...
Some autumn colours begin to show, although shyly, slowly...

And after the walk I like to start a fireplace, brew some good tea and just sit for a while, drowning in words and phrases from a new book, or, just like that, getting lost in my own thoughts...

Jagodziankowo:)

I have never backed this kind of blueberry buns before. But thanks to the recipe I found on Liska's blog (sorry, only in Polish) they turned out quite nicely:).
Here in England the blueberry buns are completely unknown, so it is good to know how to make them... And for me their taste always reminds me of my student years and the blueberry buns I used to buy on my way to the bus stop:)). It is funny what memories can different tastes and fragrances bring...

Paris, Paris...

Zapraszam do paryskich zwierzen:)...

At the beginning of this week, unexpectedly even for myself, I landed in Paris. It was a very short stay, actually a work trip - not holidays, unfortunately - and I had a mere couple of hours to do some sightseeing. Definitely not enough time when it comes to Paris;), but still I managed to go for a nice walk, have a look at some picturesque stalls with old books and postcards, walk through the crowds gathering in front of the Centre Pompidou and feel, for a short while, but still, like a real tourist:).

I like Paris a lot and have been always promising myself to visit the city with my husband:), but somehow we can never find the time...
And how about you, do you like Paris? Or so-so? Do you have your special corners, places worth visiting, places that you could recommend? Feel invited to share your Paris memories here:)...

Suflet truskawkowy

"Popelnilam" ostatnio taki oto suflet truskawkowy:).

I have recently made a strawberry soufflé:). It is so easy to make, you just need to whisk 4 egg whites until stiff, then whisk in 2 tea spoons of sugar, fold in some fruits (strawberries, raspberries) or conserve, and pour the mix into four, lightly greased inside, ramekin dishes. Bake for about 15 minutes in 200C. The soufflé needs to be served at once, as it deflates quickly. It is really sweet, but light, foamy, perfect for a summer dessert. Actually, it does not feel like summer here (it is rather cold, and grey), but at least I can pretend a little;)...

Zreszta popatrzcie sami:).

I know, I know, reading while eating is not really healthy, but it is one of my little pleasures, which I just cannot refuse myself. Especially when the newest, fresh issue of my favourite interior magazine arrives in the morning. It is the September issue already, but inside the colours still belong to summer, there are lots of flower patterns, pink, it is all so beautiful and romantic, not at all like autumn... Well, have a look yourselves:).
