I had to run some errands in London today, after the not so nice part of the day finally came time for a reward;): every Thursday there is an antiques market organized in Spitalfields (near the Liverpool Street). I could not miss such occasion, although it meant pushing through half of London via tube!
The market was not so big, nevertheless it was such pleasure to be among the antiques, old things, jewelery, books, photos (I spent most time in the stalls with the old pictures... always makes me feel a bit nostalgic and wonder, who were those people, this man on the picture, was he always funny or just then and there?...).
It has been a long time since I went to the market like that. I think I spent over two hours there and did not notice when the time passed;). On the last photo I am boasting part of my loots from today:)).

Troszke inspiracyjnie...

Zbieram inspiracje, oto niektore z nich.
Do grudniowego numeru tego magazynu (japonski "Come Home", moje zrodlo inspiracji od kilku juz lat) dolaczony byl maly kalendarz, zachwycily mnie uchwycone dzieciece chwilki, juz wisi u nas na scianie;)).

The little person, who has been living in my tummy for a few months now is getting more and more active recently;)). Especially late at night (it is funny, how the baby is awake whenever I am, if it stays like this, my poor husband will be the only early bird in the house;)).
As for me... I am getting used to the thought that there will be someone new with us, I am waiting for him/her to arrive... And thinking what changes will happen in our life, also in our surroundings, practical changes finally, in our house.
I am looking for inspirations, here are some of them.
With last month's issue of "Come Home" (Japanese magazine, which I have been reading for a few years now) there was a gift - small calendar. I fell in love instantly with the photos of children caught in a moment, and hung the calendar on our wall;)).

Dzisiaj

Ogrzewanie w domku roznie dzis dziala, wiec na rozgrzewke pije litrami herbate (moze stad wzielo sie przywiazanie Anglikow do herbaty? zartuje;))

W kazdym razie trzymanie kciukow wskazane;).

Our heating is not working as it should be today, so to warm myself up I am drinking lots of tea (is that why the British like their tea so much? just kidding;).

Outside it is gray, of course, and raining, so to improve my mood I painted a picture - in those warm, sunny colours I need so much. I am not so satisfied with it in general, but actually the process itself is more important for me than the result. I like these moments of total concentration, choosing the paints, taking control of the careful brush strokes... I love it:).

So that was today. And tomorrow? Tomorrow I have an appointment with a midwife. Already stressed out about it, although theoretically there is no reason to be... Please keep your fingers crossed for me:).

Pierwszy tydzien stycznia

Niebo pokazuje kolejne odcienie szarosci...

It is the first week of January.
You can tell if you look around.

In the sky there are yet new shades of gray.

There are more people on the streets taking up jogging.
More women shopping in the supermarket fruit&veg aisle.
On the TV and radio everybody is talking about the same...

As for me, well, I usually write my NY's resolutions on the very first page of the new, fresh calendar.

This year my calendar I ordered on the internet is still in the post. When I tried to sit down and write my resolutions on a piece of papar my foul mood did not let me.

So, these two excuses are enough for me, there will be no New Year's resolutions this year (to be honest I can't even be bothered to look at the very first page of last year's calendar ;).
Maybe it is for the best:).
